Welcome to the Blanchette Family Reunion 2014 Blog!
As you may have heard, the Blanchette Family will be having a reunion during the Congres mondial acadien (CMA) in August of 2014. The CMA is a regional celebration of all things Acadian. There will be events for everyone, from bateau building and racing to a youth summit... and plenty of Acadian breakfasts and suppers! The CMA will also feature over 150 family reunions.
Our family reunion, for all Blanchette descendants, will be in Eagle Lake, ME on August 9 and 10, 2014. We will be providing more details as we have them. That will be an exciting weekend in the area- it is the beginning of the CMA, and also the annual Ploye Festival and Muskie Derby in Fort Kent!
The current goal of the reunion planning is to reach as many Blanchettes as possible, as well as to seek out genealogy information. Please help us do this by providing your contact information.
